The Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) told on 16th that it had announced the recent revision of the Administrative Instructions on the Operation of the Priority Purchasing System for SMEs Technology Development Products, which contained the same information, and the amendment enforced the SME product with "ICT Convergence Quality Certification" which was newly established under 'the Special Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Promotion and Convergence' to be included in the priority purchase list of public institutions.

The current regulation recommends that the ratio of 13 kinds of technology development products of SMEs such as performance certification, excellent procurement goods, and new product certified products (NEP) among the SMEs products purchased by public institutions should be 10% or more. An official from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said, "Considering that the ICT Convergence Quality Certification System is in the early stage of implementation, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning has requested that we should designate it as the technology development products of the priority purchase target for vitalization of this system. Now, it is expected that the information and communication products of convergence type developed by small and medium enterprises will be expanded to the public institutions in the purchase market.
