Futuremain (CEO LEE Sun-Hwi) announced Futuremain’s acquisition of “Grade 1 GS Certification”, a type of Korean software quality certification obtained for new proprietary software jointly developed with the Korean Register of Shipping.

 

On October 17th, Futuremain was awarded the Grade 1 GS Certification from the (Korean) Telecommunications Technology Association for the software “KR Hull Stress Monitoring System 1.000 for Polar Region Navigation Vessels”, developed together with the Korean Register of Shipping.

 

The “Hull Stress Monitoring System” refers to a system that monitors the movements of a ship's hull and gives a warning to users when excessive stress or hull movement occurs.

 

Futuremain, along with the Korean Register of Shipping, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, Korea Polar Research Institute of Marine Research Placement, Seoul National University, Inha University, and Inha Technical College, etc., completed the “Development of Satellite Data-Based Integrated Polar Region Operating Vessel and Marine Structure Soundness Management System” from April 2020 to December 2022. This project was completed after 32 months of joint development.

 

LEE Sun-Hwi, CEO of Future Main, said, “The hull stress feeling software system for polar region navigation vessels jointly developed with the Korean Register of Shipping has obtained the Grade 1 GS Certification and has been recognized for its excellence in quality such as technological excellence and stability. Thus, we will continue to supply machine monitoring and predictive maintenance systems.”

 

GS certification tests evaluate the contents of function suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, and security in accordance with the Korea Software Industry Association & Ministry of Science and ICT’s efforts to secure high quality software products and support the sale’s channels of software companies by issuing software quality certifications to ensure high standards in the industry.
